by Casey Awesome

/

about

This track is a remix version of “Gary’s Song” in season 4 episode 4 of SpongeBob SquarePants, titled “Have You Seen This Snail?”. In the episode “Have You Seen This Snail?”, SpongeBob’s beloved pet snail named Gary, who was hungry because SpongeBob neglected to feed him for weeks. Feeling disowned, Gary ran away from home. SpongeBob sings this song to Gary to ask for Gary’s forgiveness and a second chance to be Gary’s responsible owner.

Casey, using his more loving and caring persona Jo$eph, decided to make his version of this song with an additional vocals from Stew with a bit of twist to it to showcase heartbreak and depression from his childhood favourite song.

lyrics

[ Intro: Stew (USA) ]
Gary, now I know I was wrong
I messed up and now you're gone

[ Verse 1: Jo$eph ]
Gary come home
I hope you forgive me
I'm sorry that my stupidity makes you wanna leave me
And I'm sorry for not giving you attention
When you needed me I was too busy playin'

Please don't go cause you're the only one I have
Without you everything seems so pointless
Wherever you are, I hope that you're safe
And if you're hearing this song, can you please come back?

[ Verse 2: Jo$eph ]
You needed me during your worst but I didn't bother to
If leaving me is how you really feel then I blame myself for not loving you too
Nowadays I feel so lonely, so depressed, so sad when you're not next to me
And this feeling is killing me cause my mind is racing, pacing cause I'm worrying and you're missing

[ Bridge: Jo$eph ]
Seems there's no hope, guess I'm giving up
Seems there's no hope, guess I'm giving up

[ Verse 3: Jo$eph ]
Not for you ever cause I'll keep fighting
Searching wherever you are in this big, big world
And if I ever found you again, know that it will never ever be the same
Cause I'll treat you more better than I shoulda had when I had you in my hands
